last Christmas I was given a remote control car and of course it broke after a matter of months. A little while ago I got a great idea why not build my own car out of spare pieces.
So, I got to work. As you can see I was joined in my quest by my brothers.
(In the back my brother Seth is working on his own thing)

After stripping the old car of all its useful pieces I began searching for the frame.I finally found an old push car that had a hollow inside.After stuffing the inside with all the stuff I needed to make it go forward I began the test drive. It works!!! Success.Now I am working on the steering.

It's not quite there yet but I will probably have it done by Christmas. Trying to keep you all up to date on all thats happening here in Mexico.

Indescribable.

A couple of nights ago we watched a video called Indescribable (it is a movie you should DEFINITELY see). The video talked about how the universe is made to glorify God, and it also showed some cool space pictures from the Hubble telescope. As I was watching it I decided to post some pictures about it. To begin I want to quote the speaker in saying that this is supposed to make you feel small .The reason God made the universe so big is so He could glorify himself.

for those who think we are the biggest and the best of all the planets.

These are real pictures taken from space.

Before you look at these last pictures, I want you to think about how God made everything.

This picture is taken right in the center of the Whirlpool galaxy. God knew from the beginning that he would give his son for us.

Last week we had a hurricane pass near by our house. The wind blew the rain poured and of course the power went out. When the storm had passed by and we had fixed all the stuff the hurricane had messed up we sat back and waited for the power to come back on. So we waited and waited and waited but the power still didn't come on. So we went over to a friends house that still had power and called the power company and they said that they were on the way.Three days later the power came back on.The first picture is my entry for photohunt but the other ones are just pictures of the storm.

Last summer, the city of Las Glorias poured new sidewalks from one end of the main boulevard to the other.

This summer they started tearing them out to put in a drainage system. Bet you thought they only did that in the states!

Well, one contractor's mistake is our gain! Check out what we're doing with the chunks of cement...
My brothers and I loaded 7 or 8 trailer loads by hand.

Then the backhoe showed up. Score!!! Too bad we only needed two more loads! LOL.

Well baseball is over. so here are the pictures of the season.

of eight of our games. We lost three of our

games at 29-4, 32-8 and 32-2. But that's

pretty good considering that only half the

kids showed up for practice.We hope to do

better next year and are looking forward to it.

Yesterday we had youth group at our house. My dad is the youth pastor. Anyway they came over and we watched a movie. After the movie we went back to Boca to drop them off. But while we were there my dad, my friend Abimael and I wanted to check the beach to see how the waves were. On the way back we came across some big posts stuck in the sand. My dad offered to pay us five dollars if we could pull them out and put them on top of the van . So we got a shovel and got to work. Well, as some of you may know dry sand is sometimes hard to dig in because the wind blows it back in the hole especially when the wind is so strong that it almost blows you over. Well, in the end we got the posts out, we got home and are now planning to put up a shade on the front of the house. I'll take pictures when we're done building it.

This year instead of going on a team I decided to help my dad coach the younger team. When we first started We only had seven mitts, three of which were barely usable.Fortunately last week we were donated some. Practice went a lot better with the extra mitts.It's kinda hard to play in the heat but the REALLY hot part isn't till June. Anyway my dad set up this practice batting pole to help with hitting, it works really well. We saw a tremendous improvement in practice on tuesday.

Today is the day that I tell you about all that's happened the last week. Well, in Mexico, Mother's day is celebrated a day early, so for Mother's day we took my mom to the theaters to see "Iron Man". It was pretty good. The graphics were PHENOMENAL!!!!!! Anyway, we had lunch in the food court in the Ley (A.K.A the mall). We spent the rest of the afternoon wandering around Guasave. Well, that's all the news I have. I'll try to keep you posted on the life of an M.K. in Mexico

As you can probably guess, I love to drum. So this post is to give you a little bit of history about the djembe.

African Djembe, (also jembe, jenbe, yembe, sanbanyi in Susu; pronounced "ZHEM-bay") is a goatskin covered drum shaped like a large goblet and meant to be played with bare hands. Traditionally crafted djembe drums are carved in one single piece from hollowed out hardwood trees. Specific types of wood depend upon the forests accessible to the drum makers. Some West African hardwoods used for musician quality instruments (carved in Guinea, Senegal, Mali, and Ivory Coast)

As a result of the large goblet shape and the goatskin head, there is a significant difference in the tones produced. Striking the skin near the center produces a bass note; striking the skin near the rim can produce either a tone or slap note, depending on the technique used. The slap has a higher pitch than the tone. Some consider the djembe female and the Ashikos to be male.

The djembe is said to contain 3 spirits. The spirit of the tree, the spirit of the animal of which the drumhead is made and the spirit of the instrument maker. The African djembe is also known as the magical drum.The African djembe is used for ceremonial purposes such as a wedding, full moon or the start of a harvest season for farmers.

There is general agreement that the origin of the African djembe is associated with a class of Mandinka/Susu blacksmiths known as Numu. The wide dispersion of the djembe drums throughout West Africa may be due to Numu migrations dating from the first millennium A.D. The Malinke, an indigenous people who are spread throughout West Africa, use the djembe to help spread their message of peace. In the Malinke culture it's an expression of joy. And is often used as a way for the African people to share their thoughts about the world. African drummer Mamady Keita, named best djembe drummer in Africa by the Pan-African Festival in Algers puts it best: "For us personally it's a way for us to share our own thoughts about the world. It helps us show through music that all our problems are not needed, and that we can come together as people because we can come together to play music."

Operating your PC:

PC HANGS UP PHONE DURING CONNECTION TO ISP:
Try invoking sleep mode prior to connecting to ISP. Otherwise, perform a warm boot.

PC IS FROZEN:
PC is probably scanning for small life forms. Reboot until it responds.
